Sofía Hafon

 

I was born in Santiago; Chile and I am twenty years old. I have two siblings and we are a little similar because we are triplets, also I have 4 siblings more, all they are older than me. I live with my father, mother and my triplets siblings. My father is descendent from China and his parents were from China who came to live in Chile before my father was born. My mother is from Chile and her parents too. I, unfortunately, never met any of my grandparents.
When I was little, I studied in 'Pedro de Valdivia' school until first grade, then I went to 'Patrona Señora de los Urdes' school until seventh grade and finally I studied in the 'Almenar del Maipo' school where I finished my high school. My two siblings and I had to change so many times of schools because we suffered bullying for our ethnicity. Then I came to study architecture here in 'Universidad de Chile'.
The hobbies I have are reading a good book of my preference like 'Me before you' which is my favorite book ever, watching a movie or series with my family, spending time with my handsome boyfriend and my two dogs whose their names are Dinka and Draco.

Blog 4 English IV: My pets

  Hello everyone!  Today I'm going to talk about my pets and my boyfriend’s pet. In all my life I have had 4 dogs and now I just have one, regrettably. First of all I had a German Shepherd called ‘Igor’ . He was with me from when I was 3 years old to 16 years old when he died because he was too old and he was in pain because he developed different health problems because of his age and we decided to euthanize him. It was a difficult time for all of us but it was the right thing to do for him.  Five years before Igor died we got a new dog, it was a poodle, and my brothers and I called him ‘Pipo’ and he was my favorite pet of all I had because we were so close to each other. I spent a beautiful time with him until one day my neighbor’s dog killed him. It was the worst time for me because I thought that I was going to be with him till he goes old but it didn't happen. Blog 7 English IV: Changes to my study programme

  Hi, lovely to see you again!  Today I’m going to talk about the changes I would like to make to my study programme. I’m studying architecture in the university of Chile and actually my career has 5 years and a half to finish it. The first change I would like to make is upgrading the buildings of the faculty because the rooms are so cold in winter and so hot in summer and that is really uncomfortable. The reason for this situation before is for the high ceiling and the composition of the walls, but the trouble to fix these buildings is that they are heritage buildings… so it is complicated. The best solution for now is to put an air conditioner in the classrooms.  The second change I would like to make to the study programme is to put an obligatory class of physical education in all of the semester because with that way all the students can be healthy and the physical education help to release stress and this is really good especially in this career. Blog 2 English IV: The best Holidays ever

  Hi guys!  Today i’m gonna talk about the best holidays I’ve ever had in all my life. This holiday was in February 2020. My triplets siblings, some friends and I went to Coquimbo-La Serena, celebrating the end of the exhausting semester of university (especially me because my semester lasted a lot). We went on a bus to the city and we stayed at the house of a friend.  Wetland - “El Culebrón”   The main idea was to stay there for 2 weeks but at the end we stayed 3 weeks because we had some great moments, like visiting the “Culebrón” wetland. It has a lot of ducks, dragonflies, and different types of birds… I took a lot of pictures of that moment but my sister has all the pictures in an HDD and she is not with me now… so I can't post my own pictures, sorry. Also, we went to a pub-restaurant called “El muelle” and they served 1 Kg. of french fries with different toppings and that was amazing and delicious. I highly recommend that place if you can go.
